Nayaka Farrell (b. 2005) is an Indonesian composer and sound artist that is currently studying music composition at Universitas Pelita Harapan under the guidance of Stevie Jonathan Sutanto. He began his musical journey with classical guitar at an early age, but his artistic practice has since branched into electroacoustic music, mixed composition and contemporary music.
His current practice explores the relationship between perception and attention, as well as the distance between them, through experimentation, critical reflection, and interdisciplinary inquiry. Working across acoustic and electronic media, he approaches sound as a reflective and perceptual experience shaped by context, memory, temporality, and technological mediation.

A fixed media work for multichannel loudspeaker system that explores space as a perceptual condition and compositional material through field recordings and non-linguistic vocal sounds.

A composition that repositions phonemes as independent sound objects, extending amplified voice through subtle electronic processes and spatialization.

A work inspired by the social phenomenon of lost contact, using live electronics and snare drum to trace dialogues that dissolve into monologues.

The piece explores paper as its primary sonic and conceptual material, reflecting on the life cycle of paper and how easily it is discarded in everyday life.

The work reflects on the idea of immortality as something unbound by time. It manifests interpretations of concepts such as suspension, fragmented momentum, and sonic independence.
Orchestra
The shifts in tempo and musical character are inspired by the contrasting gestures and rhythms of these dances. This composition won the Call for Score Competition held by Orkes Komunitas Concordia, and has been premiered by the orchestra.
